Conceptual Algebra with Technology
$15.00 – $200.00
Description
This course is designed with the concept that all content in the Algebra I course should be studied in the context of real-world circumstances. We never want students to ask, “Where do people use this?” A second component is that technology would be integrated wherever possible, and that the technology would include graphing calculators, video analysis, and data collection using scientific instruments. While the lessons provide data that were collected previously, a teacher with access to technology can have the students collect the data and use their own data instead of that provided. Still a third concept is that traditional skills needed to be maintained so practice sets, quizzes, tests, etc. are included in the course. Finally, to ensure that teachers would be able to transition to an investigative and application centered course, teacher notes are provided for each unit.
