San Antonio Technology in Education Coalition Algebra 1 Legacy Course
$18.00 – $275.00
Description
This course was designed with the concept that all content in the Algebra I course should be studied in the context of real-world circumstances. A second component was that technology would be integrated wherever possible, and that the technology would include graphing calculators, video analysis, and data collection using scientific instruments. Still a third concept was that traditional skills needed to be maintained so that practice sets, quizzes, tests, etc. were created and included in the course. Finally, to ensure that teachers would be able to transition to an investigative and application centered course, extensive teacher notes were written for each lesson.
A Suggested time-line is included that details a suggested order for the presentation of lessons, time required on each lesson, when to include drill on traditional skills and appropriate times to conduct assessments.
Two activities are included in the free lesson section for Algebra I.
